What to expect at the Lab Yoga classes
There is no perfect pose—only your practice. We invite you to come exactly as you are.
At the Mind Body Movement Living Laboratory, our yoga classes are welcoming, supportive, and accessible to every body. Whether you are stepping onto a yoga mat for the first time or returning to your practice, you are invited to move at your own pace and honor what your body needs each day.
Our classes focus on mindful movement, breath awareness, and gentle exploration rather than achieving the "perfect" pose. You'll be encouraged to listen to your body, modify movements as needed, and approach your practice with curiosity instead of judgment. Every posture is an invitation to build strength, improve mobility, calm the nervous system, and reconnect with yourself.
Comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely is recommended. We provide yoga props, including blocks, straps, bolsters, blankets, and chairs, to help make each posture safe and accessible. Throughout class, you'll receive guidance and options so you can participate in a way that feels comfortable and supportive.
Most importantly, yoga at The Lab is not about how flexible you are or how advanced your practice looks. It is about creating space to breathe, move with intention, and leave feeling more grounded, balanced, and connected than when you arrived.
